Local Poets Struggle to Recover from Difficult Childhoods
Do you suffer from poetry? Try my recipe for recovery. Alice Osborn is a terrific poet, editor, and writing coach in Raleigh, NC. She invited me to write a guest post on her blog, Write from the Inside Out, to discuss this diagnosis.
I would like to hear from folks. What are your favorite ways to lively up those dreary readings?
You can read the post on Alice’s Write from the Inside Out page.
Hi! I’m trying to turn my science students into poets. I invited am English professor to come to BIO101 and discuss poetry of water. I think students were a bit surprised to be mixing science and English!
Oh my! That sounds fun. And maybe a bit deep, if you’ll forgive the pun. Water is the great archetype, the great metaphor. And quite frankly, if we can get our young people to think about the planet romantically, but then act scientifically, perhaps we’ll be headed in a better direction. Well done, Gillian!
